Anna Mallari-Romea

Anna’s career began in the University of the Philippines, where she majored in music and sang in the Maria Clara female ensemble of the Philippine Madrigal Singers. After college, she worked at Unilab where she spent time as the liturgical music director.

She eventually married and moved to the U.S. where she spent her time raising her three wonderful kids. Alongside her family life, she embraced a variety of musical and community roles—singing with the Rosary Cathedral Choir in Ohio, performing with the Toledo Symphony Chorale, joining a church choir in Oklahoma, and later serving as both a church music director and a high school theatre vocal coach in Sacramento.

She is currently based in the Bay Area, where she directs St. Michael’s Filipino Choir and sings at Immaculate Heart of Mary as well as other parishes throughout the region. In addition to her performances, she has been actively composing music for various churches and was honored to compose the Psalm for the Mass for Peace (Washington, D.C.).

Anna loves cooking, playing the piano, singing, and painting. She is so happy to be a member of LALÒ.
