Ian Aguila

Ian’s musical journey began with the Kilyawan Boys Choir, where he sang from 1999 to 2014. During those years, he performed and competed internationally, taking part in the World Choir Games in Xiamen and Graz, and the Fukushima Choral Competition in Japan. This early experience laid the groundwork for his next chapter in 2015, when he joined the Philippine Madrigal Singers (Madz), one of the country’s most celebrated vocal ensembles.

With the Madz, Ian toured widely, performing in over 200 concerts across the United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia. He recorded four albums and was part of their winning team at the Guido d’Arezzo International Choral Competition in Italy in 2016. The following year, he helped represent the Philippines at the European Grand Prix in Tolosa, Spain.

Though no longer a full-time member, Ian continues to perform as an alumnus for select concerts and shares his passion by mentoring local choirs through workshops. Ian’s professional journey extends well beyond the world of music. With a background in project management and business development, he has contributed to companies in technology, real estate, and financial services. Currently, he manages client partnerships and leads process improvements at a U.S.-based healthcare company, while also applying his analytical skills as a business analyst for a local consultancy.
