Jerome Sibulo

Bass-baritone Jerome Síbulo is an active performer, educator, and arts administrator in the Denver area. His most recent operatic role was Marco in Gianni Schicchi (2025) with Boulder Opera. In 2024, he played the roles of Tommy in the world premiere of Nathan Wasner’s On Our Way (Opera on Tap Colorado), Don Alhambra in Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Gondoliers (Empire Lyrics Players), and the Page in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors (Central City Opera), and he performed with Boulder Symphony and Symphony of the Rockies. Having a particular interest in new music, he was seen in four world premieres in 2023—as the Father in Cole Thomason-Redus’s Yosef and the Counseling Angel, Ben in Andrew Dewey’s Night of the Living Opera, Zephyr Levan in Missed Connection—an outdoor immersive operatic experience, and Voice 6 in Nathan Hall’s Atlas of Remote Islands. He also sings with the Opera Colorado chorus, Central City Opera’s touring artists, and the Colorado Korean Chorus. When not performing, Jerome teaches voice lessons in his private studio. He is also a Co-Manager at Opera on Tap Colorado and is the Director of the Music & Arts Ministry at Trinity United Methodist Church in downtown Denver. He serves as the Vice President for DEI for the Denver Area Music Teachers Association.

Jerome is a multi-genre artist who has performed with Central City Opera, Opera Colorado, Milwaukee Opera Theatre, Heartland Sings, Intimate Opera of Indianapolis, Reimagining Opera for Kids, IU Opera and Ballet Theater, IU Latin American Music Center, the Sieur Duluth Summer Arts Festival, and Monroe County Civic Theater. He has also appeared on concert stages in the US, Canada, and the Philippines. This fall, he is making his company debut with Loveland Opera Theatre as Max in The Sound of Music.
