Johanne Veraque

Johanne Veraque is the lead voice teacher at Heart’s Desire Music Studio. Her love for music began in childhood, when she started her performing career as an actor, host, and singer on Children’s Choice, a popular kingdom-wide television program in the Middle East. She went on to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, majoring in Voice Performance, at the Adventist University of the Philippines. During her university years, she toured internationally and competed with the AUP Ambassadors—now known as the Philippine Meistersingers—under the directorship of Ramon “Bojo” Lijauco, earning the prestigious Choir of the World title.

In 2005, Johanne moved to the United States to continue her studies at the Wickham Vocal Art School in Manhattan, NY. She later performed as a soprano with the United Nations Singers, joining them on mission tours to China, Switzerland, Germany, Korea, and Japan. Today, she teaches music at Jackson Heights SDA School and continues to inspire students through her passion for performance and education.
