Katrina “Gutsy” Gutierrez-Tobia
Katrina “Gutsy” Gutierrez-Tobia is a seasoned choral artist whose love for ensemble singing began at the age of ten and deepened during her university years with the Ateneo de Manila College Glee Club. As a member of the award-winning group, she performed in concerts across the Philippines and Europe and competed in prestigious choral festivals, including those in Tours, France, and Tolosa, Spain—culminating in a performance at the European Grand Prix in 2001. Katrina later became a founding member of the Ateneo Chamber Singers, with whom she has continued to perform in the Philippines, the United States, Singapore, and Spain, sharing her passion for choral music with diverse audiences.
Outside the concert hall, Katrina is a communications professional with a background in psychology and publishing. She currently serves as Communications Manager and Editor-at-Large at Lantana Publishing, an independent children’s publisher in the UK. Her ongoing work in both choral and professional spheres reflects a commitment to amplifying diverse voices—whether through music or stories—and she is thrilled to continue this journey with the LALÒ ensemble.
