Leo Locsin

LEO KENNETH LOCSIN, bass, found his voice while humming to Mozart divertimenti as a child. He then joined his hometown parish’s boys’ choir, glee clubs during primary and secondary school, and the Ateneo de Manila College Glee Club while finishing studies in English Literature. He is a founding member of both the Ateneo Chamber Singers and ALERON, with whom he has performed. Beyond these, he has also sung with the Ateneo de Manila High School Glee Club, the Philippine Chamber Choir, and Anthology.ph. His choral experience has afforded him opportunities to sing under regarded conductors in the Philippine choral community, which include Dr. Joel Navarro, Dr. Jonathan Velasco, Ma. Lourdes Hermo, Christopher Arceo, and Dr. Beverly Shangkuan-Cheng. Additionally, he has participated in several international concert competition tours, as well as various theater, opera, recording, and movie productions.

His early vocal training as a boy soprano was under Prof. Arne Lubasan at the University of San Agustin Conservatory of Music, Iloilo City. As a bass-baritone, his teachers included Emmanuel Miranda, Dr. Ramon Acoymo, and Christopher Arceo.

Leo currently works as a freelance English language assessor, instructor, writer, and professional development trainer.

This spring concert series marks his second collaboration with LALÒ.
