RJ WOESSNER hails from Indiana, U.S.A., best known as the tenor of Disney’s DCappella, the world-renowned a cappella group signed to Walt Disney Records, with over 37 million video views and 155 million audio streams.

DCappella TV appearances include “American Idol,” Disney+ programs like “Best in Snow,” “Pentatonix: Around the World,” and “Disney Insider,” as well as several holiday specials. On stage, the group completed a 40-city North American tour and two sold-out tours of Japan in 2019 and 2022. Other notable performances include Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: Live in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl and appearances at Carnegie Hall. Over five years, DCappella released 96 songs across two albums (with Japanese editions), three holiday EPs, and four tracks on Michael Giacchino’s Incredibles 2 soundtrack.

RJ has appeared as a guest artist with orchestras including the National Taiwan Symphony, Evergreen Symphony, Shanghai Philharmonic, Wuhan Philharmonic, and performed alongside the illustrious Lang Lang on his Disney Songbook tour in Taipei. Most recently, he starred as the Genie in Aladdin: Live to Film and Hans/Kristoff in Frozen: Live to Film concerts with the Macao Orchestra.

A seasoned voice-over artist and session singer, RJ has recorded for global clients for over a decade, contributing to TV, films, commercials, and promos. He has also performed background vocals for artists like Josh Groban, Bastille, Michael Kiwanuka, James Corden, and Jim Carrey.

As a singer-songwriter, RJ released his first two indie tracks in 2024, recorded in part at Universal Music Japan while on tour with DCappella. “Synchronized” and “Throw It Away” are available on all major streaming platforms. A graduate of Berklee College of Music (Contemporary Writing & Production), he is also a voting member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs).
