Stefanie Quintin-Avila

Described as a singer who “possesses a voice with remarkable flexibility and a truly commanding musical presence” (The Straits Times), soprano Stefanie Quintin-Avila has a diverse repertoire that ranges from Renaissance to contemporary music.

As a dedicated soloist and chamber musician, Stefanie’s engagements include performances at various international festivals, such as the Asia-Europe New Music Festival (Vietnam), the soundSCAPE Festival (Italy), and the Ostbelgien Festival (Belgium), among others. She sang in concert with several orchestras and ensembles, performing with notable conductors such as Neal Goren, Grzegorz Nowak, and Sofi Jeannin, to name a few.

Her operatic credits include Henry Purcell's Fairy Queen, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Bellini’s La Sonnambula, Samuel Barber's A Hand of Bridge, and Eli Marshall’s MILA, among others.

Stefanie is a recipient of the Delphic Lyra Award for Traditional Music at the 3rd International Junior Delphic Games, PGMA Presidential Award for Culture and the Arts, the Rey Paguio Scholarship, and the Trovillo-Graham Award for Voice. She is a prize winner in various vocal competitions, including the Hawk Vocal Awards Competition (USA), Musical Merit Foundation Competition (USA), La Jolla Symphony Young Artists Competition (USA), and the Singapore Lyric Opera - ASEAN Vocal Competition (Opera-Professional Category).

She graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance and a Master of Arts in Contemporary Music Performance from the University of California San Diego. Her mentors include Fides Cuyugan-Asensio, Rica Nepomuceno, Arthur Espiritu, and Susan Narucki. She continues to study with Christopher Arceo.
